SCOPE:
This course reviews the basic sensors used in modern motion systems. It will cover accuracy, effective operating ranges and each and how to decide which to use in a specific motion problem. A practical example illustrating the implementation of sensor arrays along with interfacing and signal conditioning requirements will be reviewed in depth. Finally, a discussion of distributed motion control and smart sensors will give a flavor of motion sensor trends. |
